Camino de Sant…

Location is perfect in that when walking the Camino, the Barcelos to Ponte de Lima leg is long (35kms) with some significant hills to climb, and so to avoid having to push through the full leg, I hunted out an overnight stop about 9kms short. Staying overnight in this Quinta was a very special treat, given its ancient history (apparently built in 1692) and unusual and quirky features. Marcus was a wonderful host, providing a very tasty supper and scrumptious breakfast, and help with drying laundry. He has also recently acquired another ten bedroom property that will shortly be available which is expected to be more geared to people who want to pay less, so thanks to Marcus, Facha will now really have the capacity to be a significant stopover for pilgrims. He is a great host, with super properties, and a stay is thoroughly recommended.
