Ferreira is one of the slightly larger hamlets between San Roman and Melide, with a bar and a chapel. The walking through this section is quintessentially Galician -- eucalyptus forests alternating with small farms, stone walls lining the paths, and the occasional horreo standing in a field.

Nice place, but the owner short-changed me when I bought a coffee and mediocre sandwich. I gave her a 50 and she gave me change for a 10. I pointed this out and she did nothing to assuage my concern other than open the register to show me a 10. Well, there’s 50s in the register too, you know. She then was rude. They don’t take cards so I had to use cash. The only cash I had was larger bills. If you hand this woman larger bills, make sure you say it to her. Oh well.

Clean, orderly, albergue. It is next to a cantina, so there’s plenty of food options. Breakfast was okay. The front yard is a nice place to relax.

One cade at 3.5 miles and another at 8.5 miles. That is it, until you get into Melide.

The albergue is no longer led by the Dutch couple that was here before and there also no vegetarian menu anymore. Be careful when reserving via what’s- it might not work

Camino de Sant…

I could have done with so e personal space such as a shelf or plug point in thevdormitory. Host and hostess were incredibly welcolming and the communal meal was outstanding. Nice courtyard, and back garden and owner does washing for you.
