🏨 The albergue was adequate, but nothing particularly special. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming, and the location is good, near in the heart of Burgos.
One thing to keep in mind is that, because Burgos is a very popular tourist destination, the historic centre can be quite noisy at night, especially on weekends, so having an albergue slightly out of the centre is probably your best bet.

☕️ 🥐 I had breakfast at Babia, opposite the municipal hostel, which opens at 6:30 a.m. They serve delicious bocadillos and fresh orange juice, an excellent option before starting the day’s walk.

This hostel shares a wall with the bus station. Despite that, there was no traffic noise. Everything was clean and comfortable. Great place to stay before starting our camino even though it's not a pilgrim hostel.

Great location, comfortable and clean.
WiFi was the worst on all of my Camino thus far. It was off completely my 2nd morning. I told receptionist, and she knew. I asked if she could fix it. She said no. I came back and asked if she could turn modem off then on. She said she did 3X. She said the company knew. I asked if she told her boss. She said yes. I kind of doubted all she said she did and said I needed WiFi and asked her to call her boss. So she did, then handed me the phone. I told the woman there was no WiFi. She said to hand the phone back to the receptionist. We then went upstairs to the modem and all the many dozens of wires, where it took 15 min to figure out the ladder workings, then modem button and wait for it to go back on. WiFi improved from then on, but is still spotty. All this to say it pays to say something. If more people do, they might take it more seriously. For such a large hostel and the fact that the receptionist was also impacted, they should be able to fix it.
