Having read the glowing review of Hotel Casa Jurjo I decided to make the detour to A Picota a long long mostly uphill trek
The blonde lady at reception looked at me like I was something the cat dragged in, not a welcoming reception.
I regretted not stopping in Santa Marina at Casa Pepa

Hotel is Amazing, friendly staff, dinner is delicious, supermarket is nearby, and the lavanderia ( laundry shop) is nearby also highly recommended 👌🏽thanks to jurgo and tanja

Excellent room in newly renovated part. Great staff and good food. Recommend.

In the picota town, pilgrims have all the services, including a pharmacy and an emergency medical center.
Important option to report by covid.
