Two bars in Campiello, and between them they cover everything. Casa Ricardo on the left is a grocery, bar, restaurant, and albergue -- the family has been running it for three generations. Across the street, Casa Herminia operates the other albergue, restaurant, and now a Hotel Rural. Take the dire warnings from the latter's owner about the albergue in Borres with a healthy grain of salt -- it's not luxurious, but you'll survive.

This is the last reliable stop for supplies before Borres and beyond. If you're heading for the Hospitales route, stock up here.

Notice

If you plan on continuing to Borres, stock up on food in Campiello.

Casa Herminia folks are amazing!!

First off, the lunch was tasty and filling. Well worth a visit especially on a rainy day.

If you have a private room at Casa Herminia, Correos will still deliver to the albergue down the street - not always informing Casa Herminia folks that any bags were delivered.

If you are in a private room (red building), you cannot get into the (yellow) albergue - which is reasonable. If you go up the stairs at the albergue, you might be able to see your luggage in the front area. The staff can help. They were wonderful and chewed out Correos on behalf of a few of us peregrinos

The shop has a reasonable variety on offer. I found the Pilgrim menu a tad expensive, for my budget, at €23. They did have lovely tortilla at €2, which is what I ate. The staff were friendly. It's a very busy place with many non Caminoities.
