Great albergue, beautifully run by a young guy Jesus and his family.
I really liked the bar-restaurant which meant I had everything in one place. It is worthwhile adding just a few more kilometres after Palas de Rei and staying here.

I see why people talk about this yogurt. I may never forget it. It was WELL worth waiting until they opened at just before 7, I’m still thinking about the yogurt at 4:30PM. It was divine.

I’ve been here for an hour and I am already so glad I stopped here. All other comments are true. Comfy beds (with a sheet!), clean bathrooms, idyllic building and patio with the bar across the way. I’m having a delicious burger for lunch (the San Xulian) on the shaded patio complete with climbing vines and potted flowers. Oh, and right now there are tiny kittens! The hostess is wonderful and so hospitable. I’m so glad I made a short stage today so I can have more time here.

Pilar and her family worked their tails off on an extremely hot day keeping pilgrims happy with delicious food, ice cold beverages, laundry service, as well as keeping the place spotless. We are so grateful to them for making the best of a very hot day and doing it with such kind hospitality.

26 June 2025.

Walked the extra 4k beyond Palas de Rei to this beautiful little albergue.
This is the most peaceful stop on the Camino, run by a lovely hostess.
Great bar with smashing food..
No noise, no hazzal.
Treat yourself and stay here.

This place is great - the owner is super helpful and works so so hard to attend to your needs. We had checked in by 1pm, and been served coffee, orange juice, cake etc.
Good pilgrim meal too! Pretty little village and feel very calm and comfy here

This albergue is really well run, with caring hosts! The evening meal was also delicious and had healthy options available. Great stop.

This was one of the best albergue stays along the entire Camino Frances. The shower alone was worth the money. The owners were so incredibly kind and the kitchen was open until 8, allowing us to eat immediately which was welcome after a long day. Highly recommend skipping Palas de Rei for this little gem!

Get away from the crowds and hustle of the city to this gem of an albergue! Loved that I walked past Palas del Rei for this spot. Clean, cute, rustic place in a quiet and quaint village.

I liked that it was smaller too with only about 10 pilgrims there the night I stayed. I was in the bunk room for 4 (beds with duvets and real sheets!) with a bathroom next to it, and around the corner was another room with 8 beds. There is one other bunk room in the building across with the restaurant. The food, drinks, and breakfast at the restaurant were good as well. Stay here!
