Stayed June11/25. Comfortable albergue in a pretty part of town with a grocery store minutes away. All the beds are single beds. I was travelling with another pilgrim so stayed in a girls room but with two beds partitioned off so very private with a little balcony to hang clothes. Great kitchen and breakfast in a bag for the next morning. Lovely host! Was very happy there. If you want a big workout, take the alternate route out of town. You climb very high up a mountain. Great views but maybe not the best idea if you are going to O Cebreiro the same day.

I had the opportunity to stay here last night and what a wonderful experience. No bunk beds. The top floor is one big room with single beds. You have your own outlet, a nightstand and you get real sheets and a pillowcase. My bed was luckily on the water side of the room so all I could hear was the stream babbling out my window all night. After you hand wash your clothing, Natalie, one of the hosts, spun dried my laundry for free to allow for better hang drying. The kitchen had everything you needed and the albergue is located near a restaurant and supermarket. For 4€ they will provide you with a little to-go breakfast bag the night before which includes a yogurt drink, a sandwich, lemon cake and a banana. I would definitely stay here again.

The hosts are so kind here! Very clean albergue with great facilities. I lucked out with a private room that had a balcony facing the river and it was so beautiful. Fully functional kitchen. I don’t know why, but I felt so taken care of by the breakfast to-go back that the hosts prepare and deliver personally. A really lovely and recommended place!

The owner/host messaged me shortly after my arrival to make sure everything was going well.

We discussed the history of the town and I thoroughly appreciated his kindness during my stay.

See the other reviews, all are spot on, perfect!

So hospitable. Clean. Great shower best ever and the cafe just down the street best breakfast on the trail.

I arrived here just ahead of the rain, thankfully. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful. My bag was carried up to the dorm room that was airy, spacious, clean and had single beds!!! Also sheets and a blanket! Large windows.

A to go bag breakfast is offered. A good option as there is no place to eat for many kms.

I highly recommend a stay here.

The house of this albergue is amazing, as the interior is combined with the rock where the house is build on.
The owners are really kind and welcoming and the rooms are quite nice and spacious.

Would definitely recommend!

Bonus tip: if you feel like a small challenge the next day, please take the alternative route over the mountain! It is really beautiful hike and the views are just dazzling. In my opinion the best and most beautiful part of the Camino!
(You’re really on your own there so be aware of that, as there aren’t as much pilgrims there, although I could easily walk there)
