I arrived 3 minutes past seven after a not-so-friendly message asking if I would be on time. He was busy selling wine to a pilgrim. So my hurried final few meters had been unnecessary. Once it was my turn, I got the full brunt of it: that I was late and that there wouldn't have been a bed left for me during the high season. I felt treated like a little child... The location is truly beautiful, the communal areas are nice, but I didn't find the sanitary facilities very clean and the beds really crammed together. It gave me the feeling of a slumlord.

After a long walking day I arrived a bit before 19.00
Owner Manuel wasn’t very welcoming, even a bit angry. I didn’t feel welcome. The place is spartanic and too many beds in the small bedrooms.

Solid old farmhouse overlooking pasture, valley, and hills opposite, gorgeous views, snug accommodations. Proprietor Manuel is a gruff old guy who takes great care of the pilgrims. Good kitchen, bring your food, Manuel sells beer and wine but I picked up a nice bottle in the town before where there are two small markets.

Nice place. Nothing but a Mountain View so bring food with you. Has wash boards if you want to wash your clothes.

Absolutely beautiful setting on a hill looking out at mountains. There is a terrace to sit and enjoy the view.

As others have noted, it is wise to prepare your food beforehand and bring it with you. However, if you didn’t prepare anything, Manuel had a packet for sale with everything you need to make spaghetti and tuna. It cost €5. There is also a vending machine in the kitchen with snack foods and drinks including Coke and beer and some microwave meals. The kitchen has everything you need to cook - fridge, microwave, stove, oven, pots and hot water kettle.
Amenities are basic but sufficient. There are disposable sheets and pillowcases and a blanket on each bed.
Note that bicycle storage is not allowed.

Clean and comfortable. Scenery is picturesque and perfect! The cows 🐄 were an added touch.

Erg mooi op top van heuvel bij een

Probably one of the best albergue I've been to so far.

First of all, Manuel, the host, is very nice and accommodating. He is very dedicated into making the albergue feel like home for pilgrims.
Don't hesitate to talk with him, he really has great things to say about the place!

Then, the place itself is quite big, it can host many pilgrims. It's located in a quiet hill away from the city and offers a gorgeous view on the mountains.

There are plenty of showers and toilets and it's clean.
There is also a kitchen with all you need to eat and cook. Just be aware that there was no pan when we were there, so if you need to boil pasta for example you need to bring your own.

There are tables in different places and even a very comfortable couch outside, it invites pilgrims to socialize together, but if you feel more like introspective, you'll find cozy and quiet places as well.

To summarize, it's a cozy place with a lot of character and I definitely recommend stopping there for the night!

In the green countryside, spartiate if you need a lot of confort but authentic camino experience with lot of room. All it's here thanks to the volunteer Manuel who take care of this place since 15 years.
