Labaniego has acogida de peregrinos (basic pilgrim hosting — expect a place to sleep but no guarantees about beds, showers, or hot water). There are also several casas rurales, some available on booking platforms. The village is small with nicely restored homes but no shops or services — bring food.

If you can walk 5 km more, there's a small hostal-bar in Losada.

The Road

Beautiful views over the Bierzo region to the left. The terrain shifts to vineyards and green, even lush, countryside. You're now firmly in El Bierzo, one of the most attractive parts of the entire route. Such contrasts between beautifully preserved and nearly abandoned houses in every village.

There is a lovely albergue in Congosto, across the football field, beside the cemetery. Consists of 3 separate rooms, each with 4 beds, ensuite bathroom, hot water, fridge, air-conditioner, and very generous supply of breakfast goodies. All this for €10. Call or Whatsapp Gloria on 670 05 75 42 and she will give you the Room number and code to keyboard. Bar Peña is 150 m away, directly across the oval.

There is an amazing quaint little albergue (more of a refugio) available in Labaniego! Can be found on Google Maps, contact is Clemente. Bear in mind that there are no facilities, so bring food. There is a kitchen. Albergue has some basic ingredients just in case.
