We walked in after 23km, just as the lunch meal was being served. Victor gave us the warmest welcome we've had on the VDLP. He took us straight to our beautifully appointed room, and told us to go have lunch, worry about the check in later. We had a very tasty meal, served with local wine. It was such a great way to arrive at a new place. Do yourself a favour, spend the extra money and stay here. Victor is a super host and provides meals for all pilgrims, regardless of where you stay. He's also a super nice guy, as is his mum who does the cooking.

There was a mix up with the booking but Victor made sure we had a great room for the night. As it was Sunday and the shops would be closed by the time we arrived, victor asked us for a shopping list and went and bought ingredients for us so we could cook when we got there. Unbelievable!! He was so gracious and friendly.
