Not only does this make the first day of the Camino shorter and more pleasant, Lorenzo makes sure you start your Camino with the right mindset.
This is where I met my first Camino family. I saw these people along the way and it always made me smile.
The rooms are comfortable and the food is good. Warning: Borda sets an impossibly high standard for the rest of the Camino. Very few accommodations come anywhere close to this. If I ever buy an albergue, I will model it after this one.
Thank you, Lorenzo!

We stayed in the private room which. Laurent lit the fire in our for us and
provided us with a delicious vegetarian dinner and lovely communal experience!

Laurent is welcoming and attentive to his guests. He cooks very well and his auberge is new and very well maintained.

He offers good advice and helps us start the adventure of the pilgrim journey!

I strongly recommend it to you. Remember to book.

I stayed there on 23 April 2025. What a great spot. Lorenzo is a fantastic host, doing everything possible to make your stay memorable. Each bed is completely private and every room of 4 beds has it’s own shower and toilet.

Lorenzo makes you feel welcomed instantly. He has a great sense of humour. Albergue Borda is in an amazing location, with stunning views. The dormittories are in a converted 200-year barn, very tastefully done. Lorenzo has put a lot of thought into what a pilgrim needs but on a luxurious level. Dinner was amazing. Thank you, Lorenzo, I would return.

Highly recommend this Albergue. Room with others, but curtains, your own plug, pillow and blanket. Awesome communal dinner and breakfast. Stunning views

We stayed here on May 31, 2023 and it was everything I hoped it to be. Frest host and met wonderful pilgrims who I walked with for a month. The next morning was magical and I still remember those views. We will be back in 2026!

A great stop if you do not want to make the full trek to Roncesvalles. Fantastic host.
