All services in Miño, including supermarket, pharmacy, bars, and restaurants. The Albergue de la Xunta has 22 beds. The beach here is one of the better ones on this stretch of coast — if you've been walking since Ferrol, you'll have earned it.

This is your last chance to stock up properly before the long, rural stretch through to Presedo and beyond. There's little in the way of services after Betanzos until Hospital de Bruma.

The Road

From Miño the path heads inland toward Betanzos. You'll cross A Ponte do Porco about 1.5 km ahead, then continue through increasingly rural terrain into Betanzos. Around 10 km to Betanzos.

As a follow up to my last post there are another 12 or so beds in a locked room, so maybe they open those up when full? We left some extra disposable utensils in the kitchen for people.

The albergue only has around 12 beds. It’s quite small. If we had been any later in the day it would have been full. Not as clean as others, some black mildew in women’s shower. Doors locked at 10pm for guests.

This little bar in the square is incredibly welcoming. It is green to emphasize the relationship between the Celtic lands. The bartender gave me 3 brochures about the region, 2 of which were specific to the English Way and had a lot more detail than my guides. I asked for a local red wine and got one, along with a generous bread, avocado and jamón pinxto.
I broke the stage from Pontadeume to Betanzos here and I’m glad I did.
