A stone pilgrim cross on the roadside between Roncesvalles and Burguete, set among the beech trees. A traditional spot to pause, though there's nothing here beyond the cross itself and the quiet forest.

300 meters from Roncesvalles, there is this 14th century Gothic cross, which depicts Sancho VII, the Strong, and Dona Clemencia. It is a cross in the shape of a fleur-de-lis, with rosettes carved on each arm, the figure of Christ on the cross in the center and the Virgin in a small niche at the foot.

Pilgrims who touch this cross will be guided safely for the rest of their Camino.
