I just stopped by to pick up a credential because I’m beginning my Camino in Pamplona. I was told they do not have them and the lady said “Most albergues do not sell Credentials.”

That is not true in my experience.

At any rate, if you are in Pamplona and need a credential, you can get them at Caminofacil or you can get them at Jesus and Maria Albergue. I even think there’s a machine somewhere in town that distributes them, but I wanted to take a peek at this Albergue so I thought I would pick up my Credential there.

This Albergue just opened for the season on April 1. It is a Donativo (by donation) in a section of an old convent. It’s been modernized inside but still has a ton of charm. The Hospitalero’s who serve there are volunteers who really care about the Pilgrims. A hearty and delicious home cooked dinner was provided along with a nice breakfast. After dinner, you are invited, if you want, to go down into the beautiful baroque church for a reflection. The Albergue sits right off the Camino route and is near cafes, stores, etc. There is even a sporting goods store across from the Albergue if you need new shoes, socks, or hiking poles. Overall this place is an A++++!

Too many rules :) good dinner, good feeling in the chapel after dinner, weighty, tidy. But if you aim too much, you will make the hospitalists too much, you can't do too much here, you can't do that :)

The location of this donativo above a beautiful church with many weddings is in the heart of old Pamplona. The Albergue is simple and clean, the hosts always helpful. The evening reflection in the chapel with the padre was a special experience. You will enjoy your time here. Be prepared to speak Spanish or Italian.

Stayed here about a week ago and had such a great experience. Perfect amount of beds and rooms, able to socialise and get to know people without feeling overwhelmed or too busy. Lovely big bathroom and shower. Simple friendly communal dinner and lovely volunteers and priest. Would definitely stay here again! Clean, tidy, warm hearted stay.

Such a nice place! My sister and I hobbled into Pamplona, so it was so nice to have a warm community meal, laundry service for one euro a bag, a clean hot shower and a small dorm room.

I have enjoyed the stay. Good food, good conditions and a cozy atmosphere. Pleasant communal dinner.

It is an Albergue based on donation, so pilgrims who paid yesterday are for them today. Pay it forward. Great.

Nice experience with time for reflection after dinner, if you want that.

I was well received by the volunteers there. I can highly recommend a stay here.

I hadn't read many reviews about this little donativo but thought I'd give it a chance. I'm so glad I did! It's a great little hostel. Beds for 14 pilgrims.
Located right off the Camino on the west side mm of the city but only a few minutes walk back to the historical downtown area.
Volunteers are very friendly and welcoming.
To my surprise, one is from my home state in the U.S.!!
I highly recommend this place if you want some peace and quiet from the larger municipal that's in town!

Quiet and yet just a few steps from Calle Major on the Camino. So clean. Comfortable. Brand new donativo. Delicious group dinner! Contemplation in a 17th Century baroque private church after dinner? Wow. Breakfast ready before 7am. The volunteer hospitaleros are so welcoming and knowledgeable.
