Not actually Lalín itself -- the city is a few kilometers to the north -- but the area around the old train station. There's private accommodation here. Lalín is one of the larger towns in interior Galicia and is known for its cocido, a hearty stew considered among the best in the region. If you have the energy for a detour, the Feira do Cocido in February draws thousands.

The Road

The camino continues its course through rural Galicia, through a series of small places along the way. A Eirexe (bar) (3.6 km) is the only stop for refreshments.

Übernachtung ist nicht im Hostel, sondern 50 Meter entfernt. Wohnung mit 11 Zimmern und Aufenthalt Bereich. Hell und freundlich. Das Zimmer war gut. Die lauten Telefonate aus dem anderen Zimmer haben in der Nacht etwas gestört.

An additional cafe and restaurant is located off the roundabout towards the train station. Called Restaurante A Estación the local owner could be found in the kitchen with and amazing smelling soup cooking for the lunch set menu.

Soup, fish and carne all appeared for the 1pm lunch.

Restaurante Hostal A Taberna De Vento is open and provides great hospitality. Kitchen opens at 1pm through 3pm and has a set menu available.

The usual cafe/taberna fare is available including sandwiches pastires and raciones.

Accommodation is available through the taberna and is located in the yellow building near the roundabout. Walk up level one a and there are 11 rooms and a common area.

Booking was available on booking.com and seamless with check in. 40€ double 30€ single

Camino de Sant…

This restaurant also has rooms. I stayed there Sept 2019. Super warm welcome for pilgrims. Room was basic, old fashioned but spotlessly clean and comfortable. En-suite bathroom with bath. The food was tasty and generous. The room rate was very reasonable (not much more than a private albergue) and included breakfast and laundry service!!! The owners and staff were very welcoming and kind.

Camino de Sant…

The name of the restaurant is A Ponte and is across the road from the taberna (but doesn’t seem to have an online presence other than a basic Facebook page)
