Very nice hotel in Burguete where Hemingway went trout fishing as described in The Sun Also Rises. Lovely garden outside to enjoy a drink before dinner. Just a block or so off the main Camino.

Stretched a little bit more than expected on the first day to reach this charming, quiet town instead of Roncesvalles. A great choice. Now I know why Hemingway liked it so much. A 2024 visit.

Stayed here May 2018. Very friendly hosts. Nice rooms and good menu. All in all a great place to stay if you were wanting to treat yourself to a private room.
