Lucenza is a small hamlet between Chantada and Penasillás. No services. The camino goes straight through — before the end of the hamlet, take the path to the right.

What a wonderful stay , we were the only pilgrims and guests , so felt very spoilt by the lovely owner . The Hotel is spotlessly clean, and felt like a Countryside Inn . The owner cooked us the best Pilgrim meal we have eaten , and we are on our fifth Camino , and only 15 € each for the three course menu . The owner puts love into his food . Not hot enough yet for a swim in the pool , but I know from experience , how good it is too stretch your tired body out in water , when a Pilgrim. Good breakfast also . Highly recommended.

Sure. Stop there for a while after your climb. But it’s a short easy walk to Vilaseco. Very modern, comfy dorms with six low beds (and low ceilings). Isolated but good dinner and breakfast and head start on the way to Rodeiro.
