Most services are along the road at the start of town, opposite the church.

The Road

Leave town on the opposite side of the N1, turning left at the chapel with the bust of Henrique Maroues Moura. A maker here proclaims rather incorrectly that it is 303km to Santiago.

Between here and Aguada de Baixo is a string of hamlets (no service) and a chapel in São João da Azenha.

Door is open between six and seven pm. Spacious dorm in a community center. They had a choir practice the night I stayed over, quite entertaining. They offer sheets, pillows and blankets at extra charge (€2 each), there is a microwave and a water-cooker in the dorm.. a small shop a bit back down the road, as well as a good restaurant. I went to the take out grill close by and stopped at an excellent bakery.

I was directed here as the previous donativo' in Arcos no longer exists. They don't open until late in the afternoon.

There is a small 6 bet Albergues on Rua dos Combatentes no50, just between the supermarket and the church. Not much, to say the least, but only 6€

They states only to have reception from 6-7pm.
