This is a lovely find! Open in December when everyplace that did have some possible stops were normally close.

Across from the church & cemetery locals have opened a bottom room of a house to offer a place to rest, have a snack or a vending machine coffee. Such a nice surprise after walking a long distance without any services or benches!

There is a gorgeous cosy dry place set up under a private house on the R as you pass through town ( it could be easy to miss) Tables chairs vending machine with hot and cold drinks snacks and a sello

The "strip mine" is actually a granite quarry which uses explosives at irregular intervals. Be prepared for sudden very loud bangs!
