So I was about to leave a really nice review for this place; private rooms, decent food, clean facilities and then myself and others staying here have discovered that we are locked into the 2nd floor of this albergue until six in the morning!! If there were a fir or any other emergency, you are basically screwed! One of the other pilgrims who was searching for keys in the kitchen came and told us that someone else had found the “caretaker “ asleep in room six.So basically I guess in an emergency one must yell loudly or pound on doors! Not Good!

Very friendly people. Rooms very good. Food really good. We enjoyed our stay. The young guy, Carlos, was extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended 😃

Stayed here on the 19th of June 2025,
Very good, reasonable price for a private room and they served meals for dinner and breakfast, It’s all i needed for rest and good sleep.

I had a wonderful stay here. The hospitaleros were so welcoming. And the wife is a wonderful cook. The food was delicious, nutritious, and inexpensive.

This albergue is a lovely, small one. Hot showers and really clean.
The rooms are very comfortable and the price for a two bed room is more than reasonable.
I think this is the nicest since starting at St Jean Pied de port

Booked this as it fit in with a long 35k… sceptical at first but this couple are fantastic and seem to be trying to grow this part of their business… single room at a great price… food was terrific….huge portions…very accommodating….a little shop in the bar for top up or necessities. For the price I couldn’t fault

There is a dodgy place you can stay in that is also a bar. You will get locked in overnight and be unable to leave until the owner returns in the morning. Not a safe environment.

Had a great,real Spanish three course Menu del dia at Cafe Leon, highly recommended
