A small village between the Neiva river and the approach to Viana do Castelo. No significant services, but the walking through here is quiet and rural.

the two cafes on the route are cash only & no ATM !! not very many choices, I'd recommend eating enough before to hold you through this stop. The trail is beautiful but not many food options at this stop :(

Btw. When in Chafe don't go to the restaurant caragol, it's a pilgrims' trap!

A great stop off stage. Only two other guests so had the entire top floor adjacent to the kitchen and living area to ourselves. Plenty of drinks and snacks for sale at very reasonable prices. And the included breakfast consisted of a wide range of bread, spreads , yoghurt, cheese and hot drinks. Comfy bed and great shower.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay after a beautiful days walking. Fatima is the most gracious host. The best value by far. Gorgeous house with lots of extras.

Spent a night here feeling incredibly well-cared for by the gracious Fatima. Well worth the trek past Castelo Do Neiva! She has fridge snacks & fruit!

What a beautiful house. Everything just perfect
Bar across the road also sweet.

In that cafe (supposed to have pilgrims menu) make sure you ask the menu and the prices before, I was properly ripped off in the end, because I asked pilgrims options but I wasn’t showed visibly the menu… wasn’t very good experience when lady just wrote the summary on the paper and overpriced. My own mistake ofc, just to warn others to be not so naive.

casa do campo do forno ist ein juwel! fatima hat ein wunderschönes altes haus für ihre gäste. sie ist unglaublich gastfreundlich, spricht perfekt englisch. sie vermietet 5 zimmer, wo zwischen 10 bis 15 gäste unterkommen können. der preis liegt bei 25 bis 30€ pro zimmer, sodass bei gemeinsamer nutzung nur 15€ pro gast anfallen. zwei küchen stehen mit grosszügiger ausstattung und kaffee, toast, butter zur verfügung. garten mit möbeln und und und. ein himmlischer platz für pilger.
