As Travesas

There are no services in Presedo beyond the albergue. The albergue itself has 14 beds, doesn't take reservations, and sits slightly off the Camino behind the church on the main road. It's basic but functional.

If you're staying, your dining options are limited but creative. Several restaurants post their menus in the albergue and deliver. The Mesón-Museo Xente no Camião is 500 m down the road — it has WiFi and food if you fancy an evening stroll. Carry provisions from Betanzos if you want to be safe.

This is roughly the midpoint between Betanzos and Hospital de Bruma, and it's the sensible place to split the stretch if 26 km in one go feels like too much.

The Road

From Presedo the terrain continues through isolated countryside to Hospital de Bruma, about 14 km ahead. The path is quiet, wooded in places, and the villages between here and Bruma are tiny — don't count on finding a bar. Carry water.

After Prssedo, less than KM . Keep on the Camino and there is a lovely bar called Mesón Museo. No need to divert. Open on 1 March 2026

Seems that it is now closed on Wed. At least it was closed today 17 Sep. Google maps says it's open all other days 0830-1600 except Fri, Sat, Sun when it opens to 2330 so looks like not an option for evening meal except weekends

Bring some cream for mosquitoes or you will suffer like me. Was the worst night for me on the Camino, so so so so many mosquitoes and they all bit me I woke up like 25 times and I was itchy whole
night. So if you want to stay be prepared !

We decided to stop in Presedo to break up the climbing days. The albergue is older, the mattresses in rough shape, pillows not plastic. Despite this we had a good sleep. Showers hot, vending machine on site. Manager comes at 8pm to register everyone. Wash&Dry is €6. Bed was €7. Nothing in the town, but we saw some people order food from the local restaurant for delivery which looked filling.

Meson Museo is not open Monday. There is nothing in Presedo. Nothing! Only a vending machine at the Albergue. Other days restaurant is fantastic. Opens at 8.30am and is on the Camino as you leave the village

Pilgrims need to be aware how basic this albergue is. Lovely location but: no fridge; only one toilet - seat broken; washing machine broken; no hot water in morning. Think of it as a 7e bed for the night.

Highly recommend staying here if you are looking to beat the rush of the bigger towns. Meson Museo open 7 days a week for great local dinner, albergue has vending machine

The albergue Gad a washer/dryer machine for €7. You have to call the hospital era to use it. Also no gendered facilities if that’s a concern
