We enjoyed a very warm welcome at this wonderful hostel. The evening meal was delicious and plentiful, and the renovated house was very cozy. Definitely stay overnight and enjoy the wonderful hospitality 🫶❤️

The hostel and the owners are warm welcoming and wonderful. The building is old and beautifully and lovingly restored by the hands of the owners. The food delicious. The location spectacular.

I had a lovely stay with Diego and Irene. They are pilgrims themselves and have done a wonderful job creating a welcoming place for those of us on the road. They also serve a Real breakfast in the morning as well as a home cooked vegetarian meal in the eve. If you arrive hungry Cornellana is close enough to grab a pincho as you might meed to hold you over. Highly recommend.

It is like being in a special inspired home. Irene and Diego are simply full of exceptional vibes…
We are not “albergue peregrines”, but this albergue is as close to home as it gets.
We just hope and wish that Albergue Roca Madre receives the number of peregrines as they really deserve.
Everything is VERY CLEAN, the beds are very comfortable and atmosphere is PERFECT.
We recommend this place to everyone.

Diego made us so welcome when we stayed here in September 2022. There were only 3 of us and we spent a quiet night in comfortable bunks. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony space and were able to dry our laundry. We had a communal meal and breakfast, all lovingly prepared by Diego. The food was vegetarian and much of the food was home grown in their garden or foraged from the forest.. He told us a lot about the area and renovating the buildings.

Diego and Irene welcomed us into their home. We shared food and beer together. Lovely place to stay. They even did our washing and hung it to dry. Recommend.

Exceptional Albergue on right before entering Cornellana - super clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, washing machine & sunny terrace for drying clothes and relaxing while enjoying spectacular sunset over mountains. Hosts exceptionally genuine and great cooks of vegetarian food. A must stay for travellers :-) August 2022
