Only 4 beds.which to me was great. Nice strong shower with hot water. A place to hand wash or a washer dryer.
They have a very comfortable seating area outside. Pizza was great.
Do t miss this gem of a place.

Buy fresh fruit at the fruit stand next to the hotel.

Right after entering the town in the left-really friendly and peacful place. Almost private rooms, I had the room with 1 bunkbed only. And I seem to be alone in the albergue :) The bar is quite popular for locals, but its far downstaris, so the room is quiet. The laundry washing place is funny -right next to highway :) But it adds some spice to the place. I had really good seafood soup, even though it was not in the menu. And the prices are really reasonable.

Really great donativo albergue with pizza pilgrim dinner at 7:00pm nightly and churro breakfast at 6:00am daily.

At the truck stop before you enter town there is a 24 hour cafe. We stopped before 0700 and had a French omelet served with tomatoes, coffee, churros. Solid.

Camino de Sant…

We have been staying at David's place for the night and the hospitality was wonderful! The pizzeria is open only on fri/sat/sun, but he's there all the week to help pilgrims and he made pizza for us even if the restaurant was closed.
It was a really nice place and his company is wonderful!

Camino de Sant…

At the end of La Portela is an incredible pizza place called Rock & Roll Pizza. A funky atmosphere with excellent pizza and salads that come out quick. Pizzas are perfectly cooked thin crust and very big. Definitely worth the stop! I didn’t stay overnight, but the also offer beds for donation only
