Leave the road at the LU-641

The camino follows the road for 2km past the turn off to Perros. Where this road meets the LU-641 the camino turns left onto a track. From here it proceeds through or near several small hamlets. The names and distances are listed here, but none offer any services and might even be mistaken for just a farm.

Is at the Meson Pontenova restaurant and it is very well marked. The road option isn’t marked at all. About 1km after the split you reach Casa Xaymaca which has a donativo table with waters and snack food, fruit and covered rest out of the elements as well as a stamp.

Although this app shows a second red option (shorter), DO NOT TAKE THE 641/633 to Alàn! The shoulder is narrow, the cars are fast, and the ditch is steep. IT'S DANGEROUS. We eventually called a taxi to bring us to Sarria.

Bottom line: follow the Camino and the arrows to Perros!!
