A hamlet between Montamarta and Granja de Moreruela. No services. Nearby are the ruins of the Castillo de Castrotorafe, a former stronghold of the Order of Santiago — a signed detour off the camino.

It was such a warm welcome by Angela and Paco.
DON‘t WALK BY. You will regret it.
Angela is very good in cooking but also in handling her translation App. 5 Star Albergue.

We arrived on May 25, 2024, and we were the only ones here. The hospilario couple were fantastic and prepared gourmet meal for us. They were so kind. The albergue was spotless and there was a pleasant courtyard to relax in while our laundry dried. Very recommended. Paul, Winnipeg, Canada

I arrived at 7:00 pm on Holy Thursday. The kind hospitaleros gave me a cool drink and had my wash done and hanging before dinner. The fifteen people at Mass represented about a third of the population of the village. Spotlessly clean albergue, very accommodating hospitaleros, and a nice walk onward in the morning. An excellent choice for a stop between Zamora and Tabará.

Lovely place, run by a Spanish couple who are very welcoming and a font of knowledge on all caminos. Great, firm mattresses. Home style communal dinner and breakfast. Heart warming.

The New albergue has opened april 2019. It is a very nice place with a young and very friendly and helpful hospetalero, who serves two meals. Still donativo.

Camino de Sant…

Stayed here about 10 days after the new albergue opened. It is a lovely building and the hospitalero is great. Shared dinner which was tasty. However the albergue was already very dirty and untidy - probably the dirtiest hostel I stayed at on the whole camino. Dog hair everywhere, a greasy kitchen, rubbish everywhere and the bathroom needed a good clean. The mattresses/beds still needed unpacking. The sheets had not been changed and there were no pillow cases. I don’t wish to stereotype but this probably comes with a young guy looking after the albergue. I just hope it doesn’t get any worse.

Camino de Sant…

As of April 2022, this albergue is finally a nice real albergue run by the amazing Angela and Pako. So heartwarming welcome. I was so exhausted when I arrived - no questions asked they provided me with juice and water until I felt better. Clean facilities; great rich cummunity dinner; small breakfast; you can wash clothes and the construction of the bunks gives you some privacy, and they have a shelf and plugin each. Also fresh sheets and blankets. Mind though the number provided here is incorrect, it is 676 151 949 as in Gronze. They dont accept reservations though, as they follow the traditional style. Highly recommended, great place.
