The reward came at the end of the day, tucked quietly into the Galician countryside—Casa de Casal.
And what a reward it was.
Set within a beautifully restored stone house, Casa de Casal feels less like accommodation and more like a sanctuary. Buildings like this are part of Galicia’s rural identity—centuries-old farmhouses, once the heart of agricultural life, now carefully preserved to offer warmth to modern pilgrims. Thick stone walls that have seen generations pass through. Timber beams that hold stories in their grain. A sense of stillness that only comes from places deeply rooted in the land.

If you want to really treat yourself, this is the place. It was a short walk that day however it was the best place that I have stayed. In the beautiful country, quiet and the host has thought of everything. Well worth the stop.
