At the top of Alto de Mezquiriz, there is a stone stele with a carving of the Virgin and Child called Virgen de Roncesvalles. The inscription asks for a prayer to the "queen" to help pilgrims pass the difficult mountainous stage and enter the "land of the Navarrese"

I think it would be useful to add a note describing why Alto de Mezquiriz was included
