The name translates as something close to "to see the sea," which is exactly what you do from this small village. There's little in the way of services, but the beachfront walking between here and Santo Andre is some of the most pleasant on the Coastal route.

On this app you need to turn sharp right and then sharp left again (praia something street) but all ot that is not necessary. Just go straight throught on the wooden path.

Casa Fragosa has a great vibe. Paula is the lovely host. The dormitory was clean and well thought out. Two beds in each cubicle with great storage, clean sheets, comfortable pillows and a privacy screen at the cubicle entrance. Cubicles at the top had low head room but ok for us. Charging points and reading light by the bed. Shared kitchen right off the dormitory, could be a bit loud and smelly depending on what is being cooked. One door accesses the shower cubicle, the toilet cubicle and the sink which each lock individually, but sometimes people would lock the door to access all three which is a bit annoying. But doesn’t take away from the great pilgrim experience we had!

Not really sure why it says to not go straight along the boardwalk, as you definitely can and reach the same spot!

Came here to leave the same comment - just go straight ahead and take the boardwalk It's nicer, shorter, and safer.
