Myself & my wife decided to stay at Hotel Saga, just before the bridge, highly recommended, cheap, has a pool, great showers, & was quiet

They have a bar that starts serving at 7:30 p.m. it was good. Limited menu, but good.

This restaurant opened its door and kitchen to a friend and I, earlier than the 8pm time. The owner also spoke English.
The food choice was excellent.

Ponte Baixo food and drink.The cafe is at Ponte Baxio. It's run by Rocio who is a wonderful person and so kind to pilgrims. It is about 2.5 kms before Miṉo and is in a yard where the big Camino painting features on the wall of the cabinetry workshop. Rocio is a star of the Camino and her portrait features on a wall as you enter Miṉo. Beautiful little place and she is very welcoming. Her cafe was inside the big Worksop 4years ago but now it is a seperate building inside the gates. Lovely food and coffee. 👍

OK so I was misled by these comments appearing on the Pontedeume listing. The new cafe/bar is before Miño. It looks great - with a walking stick donating station - but the gate was closed when I went by around 2pm. Siesta maybe?

I don’t think I passed this cafe. Is it on the alternative route that isn’t shown in this app but does appear on the maps in Buen Camino? I really could’ve done with finding this place as I walked from Fene to Pontedeume without breakfast. I needed that café :)

There is an amazing place to have a beer or food or coffee at Ponte Baixo… and there’s a cool stamp
