Un tempo il cammino da Calzadilla andava direttamente a Mansilla de las Mulas, aggirando Religos. Quest’opzione è tuttavia meno desiderabile che passare per Reliegos, che è comunque abbastanza vicina. Il bivio si trova 1km prima di Reliegos e potreste trovarvi ancora delle frecce discordanti: per arrivare a Reliegos continuate dritti all’intersezione di quattro strade, oppure per arrivare direttamente a Mansilla girate a destra. I due percorsi sono lunghi uguali.

Il nostro gruppo si è diviso, con alcuni di noi che andavano direttamente a Mansilla e altri che passavano per Reliegos.

Directamente verso Mansilla il paesaggio era simile a quello della strada per Calzadilla de los Hermanillos, ma ben presto ci siamo avvicinati alla prigione provinciale, dove si potevano sentire gli altoparlanti. Non c'era molta ombra lungo il cammino.

Via Reliegos, una breve passeggiata in paese, e poi un sentiero ombreggiato accanto alla strada per la maggior parte del percorso verso Mansilla.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui alla fine di ottobre e l'abbiamo trovato il posto perfetto per stare. Solo poche camere erano occupate a causa della fine della stagione. Adoravo il camino nella sala da pranzo mentre mangiavamo un pasto meravigliosamente preparato e bevevamo vino Rioja. Soggiorno perfetto con persone gentili che hanno tollerato il mio cattivo spagnolo. Camere private molto pulite.

Highly recommend for a couple of reasons, we preferred this quieter route, getting away from the crowds and as an added bonus staying at the very comfortable Via Trajana. The hosts are amazing and Mama's cooking was so good. Lunch, dinner and breakfast!

Without a doubt the best place we have stayed along The way. Fantastic hosts, comfy warm beds 😀, great and hot showers, clean facilities , multiple and handy power points. Pilgrim dinner with multiple options for all 3 courses. Open at 10 so could do early checking. Very flexible with checkout. 10 out of 10!

We were very happy with our twin rooms at Via Trajana. All the staff there were so kind and friendly. They did not get frustrated with our poor Spanish. The breakfast of bacon and eggs was superb!!

The small grocery shop is open in the morning and evening.
On Saturday, the bar/restaurant opened at 1pm.

What an amazingly lovely albergue! Clean and cozy rooms, no bunk beds (at least in our room of five), spotless bathrooms, delicious food in the restaurant, and the hostess and host are beyond amazing! Highly recommend Albergue Via Trajana!

No bars for breakfast are open as of 21 Sept 2020. Small supermarket open from 10am - 2pm.
If you start from Sahagun either have breakfast there or choose the other route next to the motorway or bring enough snacks
