Sono arrivato 3 minuti dopo le sette dopo un messaggio poco amichevole che mi chiedeva se sarei stato puntuale. Era occupato a vendere vino a un pellegrino. Quindi i miei ultimi metri affrettati erano stati inutili. Quando è stato il mio turno, ho ricevuto tutto il peso: che ero in ritardo e che non ci sarebbe stato un letto per me durante l'alta stagione. Mi sono sentito trattato come un bambino piccolo... La posizione è davvero bellissima, le aree comuni sono piacevoli, ma non ho trovato molto puliti i servizi igienici e i letti davvero ammassati insieme. Mi ha dato la sensazione di uno sfruttatore.

Dopo una lunga giornata di cammino sono arrivato poco prima delle 19:00.
Il proprietario Manuel non è stato molto accogliente, anzi un po' arrabbiato. Non mi sono sentito benvenuto. Il posto è spartano e ci sono troppi letti nelle piccole camere.

Solida antica casa colonica che si affaccia su pascoli, valle e colline opposte, viste meravigliose, alloggi accoglienti. Il proprietario Manuel è un vecchio burbero che si prende grande cura dei pellegrini. Buona cucina, portate il vostro cibo, Manuel vende birra e vino ma ho trovato una bella bottiglia in paese prima dove ci sono due piccoli mercati.

Posto bello. Solo con vista sulla montagna, quindi porta il cibo con te. Ha assi di lavaggio se vuoi lavare i tuoi vestiti.

Absolutely beautiful setting on a hill looking out at mountains. There is a terrace to sit and enjoy the view.

As others have noted, it is wise to prepare your food beforehand and bring it with you. However, if you didn’t prepare anything, Manuel had a packet for sale with everything you need to make spaghetti and tuna. It cost €5. There is also a vending machine in the kitchen with snack foods and drinks including Coke and beer and some microwave meals. The kitchen has everything you need to cook - fridge, microwave, stove, oven, pots and hot water kettle.
Amenities are basic but sufficient. There are disposable sheets and pillowcases and a blanket on each bed.
Note that bicycle storage is not allowed.

Erg mooi op top van heuvel bij een

Probably one of the best albergue I've been to so far.

First of all, Manuel, the host, is very nice and accommodating. He is very dedicated into making the albergue feel like home for pilgrims.
Don't hesitate to talk with him, he really has great things to say about the place!

Then, the place itself is quite big, it can host many pilgrims. It's located in a quiet hill away from the city and offers a gorgeous view on the mountains.

There are plenty of showers and toilets and it's clean.
There is also a kitchen with all you need to eat and cook. Just be aware that there was no pan when we were there, so if you need to boil pasta for example you need to bring your own.

There are tables in different places and even a very comfortable couch outside, it invites pilgrims to socialize together, but if you feel more like introspective, you'll find cozy and quiet places as well.

To summarize, it's a cozy place with a lot of character and I definitely recommend stopping there for the night!

In the green countryside, spartiate if you need a lot of confort but authentic camino experience with lot of room. All it's here thanks to the volunteer Manuel who take care of this place since 15 years.
