The Pont d'Artigues spans the Osse River between Larressingle and Montreal-du-Gers, and it's been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1998. The current stone bridge dates from 1724, built in a neo-Romanesque style on a site first documented in 1432. About 2,700 Santiago pilgrims cross it annually.
The setting is what makes it: the quiet river, a grassy rest area along the banks, and Larressingle visible on its hilltop behind you. There's a water fountain and rest area here. It's one of the iconic scenes of the Via Podiensis.
