Mas de Jantille

A small hamlet on the causse between Cajarc and Saint-Jean-de-Laur. Dry-stone walls, scattered oaks, thin soil over white limestone. This is classic causse landscape. No services.

There is a gite not listed here that you can book on Booking.com that is lovely. It’s called Les chambres des chats malicieux. The host is very nice and even picked us up from Cajarc. She has at least six cats who are a hoot to love on and watch play. The garden has a beautiful view of the Gaillac church. Washer available for 3€

We really enjoyed this newly opened gîte. Celine and her husband welcomed us into the cozy renovated barn like old friends and made our stay very pleasant. The barn is no longer recognizable as such: The first floor houses the bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen with a large dining table, while the upper floor houses the bedroom with 6 sleeping accommodations, cleverly placed so that you can even enjoy some privacy.
We were able to have our laundry done at a reasonable price. And best of all, Celine has a small food kiosk where we could easily place an order and then cook our dinner. Really recommendable accommodation! I will be happy to come back!
