History

We had the best sleep of the Camino here! We have stayed mainly in albergues but splashed out on this to guarantee accomm in Eirexe as it suited us to stop there. The bed was so comfy, there is tea and coffee and microwave etc, basic toiletries, very comfy all around! It was unseasonably cold when we stayed on 20 July but the pool looked lovely and was good to cool feet down. Also a tv with Netflix and other streaming services. We forgot we were on the Camino. We went down the road to Casa Mariluz for dinner which was really nice.

Nice and spacious facilities. No food here but there’s a fridge in the lobby with drinks available for purchase. Laundry service with coin operated machines. There’s a well-kept pool. We went to dinner at Mariluz- excellent food. There’s nothing else at Eirexe.

I would confirm that Casa de Cota is a great place to stay. They have a lovely garden and pool which was much appreciated on a hot day after walking. Worth the splurge!

Also we had dinner at Casa Meriluz which is just before you enter Airexe. Bothe the pilgrim’s meals and the ala carte were exceptional. We had (among.rm4 of us) the goat salad, mixed salad, local hamburger, Spanish rice with meat, hake, and beef and of course flan. It was flavorful and plentiful and we could have shared. Best meal in the last week of walking.

Casa de Cota is one of the nicest places we've stayed so far on the Cino! We started in St. Jean so we have stayed in many places over the past 5 weeks! The hosts could not be nicer & helpful, and the room we had was spotlessly clean, & super comfortable!

Camino de Sant…

The Albergue is open and one of the hostess is very friendly even when you are the only guest. The bar/restaurant opposite to the albergue is open in the evening and in the morning, so dinner and breakfast are saved. A lovely little town with a calming vibe
