La Iglesia de San Emeterio y San Celedonio es el edificio más masivo por kilómetros. Fue, como el Árbol de Gernika, un punto de encuentro para los Señores de Viscaya.

The Road

Después de pasar la iglesia y el bar al comienzo de la ciudad, el camino llega a la carretera principal donde gira a la izquierda y sigue la carretera hasta la cercana Larrabetzu.

Following the trees there are numerous large fallen trees blocking the Camino footpath route from Eskerika to Goikolexea. It is possible to navigate them but pretty treacherous so pilgrims may want to consider the road route instead

Camino de Sant…

From Goikolexea to Lezama it is only walking on road pavement/sidewalk so if your feet are tired (there is already quite a lot of walking on pavement this day) I recommend to take the bus from Goikolexea to Lezama via Larrabetzu. Alternatively take it from Larrabetzu to Lexama if you want to stop in Larrabetzu, which is quite nice and cozy.
