The Road

Open right now from 2pm till 9pm. Carlos is really nice and helpful. Everything is clean. You can buy a sheet for 1 euro (to throw when you leave). Nice garden with tables outside. Really calm. A really great albergue !

Nice, newly renovated hostel. Equipped kitchen, laundry machines and dryers (2€ each). They have vending machine and a few things for sale. They’ll order pizzas for you, as well, to have delivered later in the evening. Warm welcome and a nice feel- space makes it easy to cook, eat, hang out, etc. Cold pool out back to soak your feet in, picnic tables and a nice yard/garden make the stay even better. Fantastic deal at €5/ bed.

I just spoke to the new owner of the restaurant, who assures me that it will reopen on June 1 and will provide even better service to pilgrims.

The next town has some places to eat .

The restaurant is closed as of 13-April but may open again later in the season. Or perhaps they are closed because it is a Saturday. Nonetheless, the comments about pizza are accurate and other options for food delivery are also available, at the albergue, after 1700.

Waited long to get a coke in the restaurant. But waiter was very friendly. Decided than not to eat there for time reasons. Pilgrim menu costs €10.- not including a
drink or bread. 2 coke and a bottle of water €4.-.

Great hostel. Very modern and clean. We drought paper linen for €1 each extra and we didn’t have a sleeping bag, so they provided us with two blankets each. The man working there, Carlos was absolutely wonderful. Very kind and helpful. There is a kitchen there, washing machine and dryer. Be careful though, the dryer isn’t great and out clothes didn’t dry over night hanging on the rack. They had very basic groceries that we bought.

I would also be mindful that one of the other guests was sitting outside by the church where she caught a man masturbating. Police were informed but apparently he does this over the 10km radius of the area. Especially if you’re a single female traveller, keep your wits about you and be safe.
