The Road

Al principio del pueblo, la carretera asciende ligeramente hasta la cima del terraplén que separa estas tierras bajas del río cercano. Sigue la carretera.

Agradable café local con una señora servicial. Contento con Google Translate para pedir y hacer preguntas sobre la farmacia más cercana (Cartaxo). El café y la parada para agua fueron bien recibidos. ¡Obrigada!

Entré en este lugar esta mañana después de leer todas las reseñas aquí. La señora en cuestión no sonrió, pero fue agradable. Tampoco sonrió a los lugareños. Un café y un pastel encantadores. ¡Quizás tuve suerte ya que puedo hablar portugués!

Asumo que el bar del que todos hablan es Cafe Campino. La señora sigue siendo gruñona. Entré y dije buenos días en portugués y luego pedí algo. Me ignoró las primeras veces. Desafortunadamente, necesitaba un baño después de la larga sección de campos agrícolas, así que le di mi negocio porque no había nada más disponible.

The footpath is severely overgrown about 100m from the marker, follow the road, stay on the left.

Serving lady very rude. Didn't have "black tea" available. Offered to pay for hot water with fruit juices, but she refused to give us hot water.
Walk on to Valada to the beach, the guy there wouldn't take any money for the hot water and so he gained our custom and we had food and drinks there. After doing 4 of the camino's this woman's behaviour was disgusting and disappointing.

The footpath on the right at the end of town doesn’t go very far and needs a long rocky butt slide to get down to the road. So, just take the road.

The serving lady was on the phone; nevertheless, I was served expediently. Nice to finally have my morning coffee and tart!

Not to recommend....the serving lady did not allowe me to eat my own sandwich on the dirty terrace after ordering coffee....
