Ich bin 3 Minuten nach sieben angekommen, nachdem ich eine nicht sehr freundliche Nachricht erhalten hatte, in der gefragt wurde, ob ich pünktlich sein würde. Er war gerade dabei, Wein an einen Pilger zu verkaufen. Meine gehetzten letzten paar Meter waren also unnötig gewesen. Als ich an der Reihe war, bekam ich die volle Breitseite: dass ich zu spät kam und dass es während der Hochsaison kein Bett für mich gegeben hätte. Ich fühlte mich wie ein kleines Kind behandelt... Die Lage ist wirklich wunderschön, die Gemeinschaftsbereiche sind schön, aber ich fand die sanitären Einrichtungen nicht sehr sauber und die Betten wirklich dicht beieinander. Es gab mir das Gefühl eines Ausbeuterbetriebs.

Nach einem langen Wandertag kam ich kurz vor 19:00 Uhr an.
Besitzer Manuel war nicht sehr gastfreundlich, sogar etwas wütend. Ich fühlte mich nicht willkommen. Der Ort ist spartanisch und es gibt zu viele Betten in den kleinen Schlafzimmern.

Solides altes Bauernhaus mit Blick auf Weiden, Tal und gegenüberliegende Hügel, wunderbare Ausblicke, gemütliche Unterkünfte. Der Eigentümer Manuel ist ein rauer alter Mann, der sich um die Pilger kümmert. Gute Küche, bringen Sie Ihr Essen mit, Manuel verkauft Bier und Wein, aber ich habe mir vorher in der Stadt eine schöne Flasche gekauft, wo es zwei kleine Märkte gibt.

Schöner Ort. Nur mit Bergblick, also bring dein Essen mit. Hat Waschbretter, wenn du deine Kleidung waschen möchtest.

Absolutely beautiful setting on a hill looking out at mountains. There is a terrace to sit and enjoy the view.

As others have noted, it is wise to prepare your food beforehand and bring it with you. However, if you didn’t prepare anything, Manuel had a packet for sale with everything you need to make spaghetti and tuna. It cost €5. There is also a vending machine in the kitchen with snack foods and drinks including Coke and beer and some microwave meals. The kitchen has everything you need to cook - fridge, microwave, stove, oven, pots and hot water kettle.
Amenities are basic but sufficient. There are disposable sheets and pillowcases and a blanket on each bed.
Note that bicycle storage is not allowed.

Clean and comfortable. Scenery is picturesque and perfect! The cows 🐄 were an added touch.

Erg mooi op top van heuvel bij een
kerk. Gastvrij ontvangst en slapen in pittoreske kamers. Grote keuken en wasruimte.

Probably one of the best albergue I've been to so far.

First of all, Manuel, the host, is very nice and accommodating. He is very dedicated into making the albergue feel like home for pilgrims.
Don't hesitate to talk with him, he really has great things to say about the place!

Then, the place itself is quite big, it can host many pilgrims. It's located in a quiet hill away from the city and offers a gorgeous view on the mountains.

There are plenty of showers and toilets and it's clean.
There is also a kitchen with all you need to eat and cook. Just be aware that there was no pan when we were there, so if you need to boil pasta for example you need to bring your own.

There are tables in different places and even a very comfortable couch outside, it invites pilgrims to socialize together, but if you feel more like introspective, you'll find cozy and quiet places as well.

To summarize, it's a cozy place with a lot of character and I definitely recommend stopping there for the night!

In the green countryside, spartiate if you need a lot of confort but authentic camino experience with lot of room. All it's here thanks to the volunteer Manuel who take care of this place since 15 years.
