Albergue San Roque

San Roque

Description and Notice

The albergue is a short ways out of Corcubion and away from most services. It opens a bit late but offers excellent views and a quiet atmosphere to relax. Some pilgrims report the best view from an albergue toilet :). There is as well a large open park with picnic area in front of the albergue. Note that this albergue is donativo. It is run by the Amigos in Galicia and the donations left by you will feed the pilgrims of tomorrow, the dinner and breakfast is a group affair and you are encouraged not to leave before breakfast. Finisterre is only 9km away and this is the best place to enjoy the atmosphere of the camino. Lastly, they advertise 16 beds but have told me on many occasions that nobody is ever turned away.

Absolutely amazing place - after rainy day I was welcomed with hot tea and cookies. Volunteers here were warm and welcoming, dinner and breakfast was good. Everything donativo!
The only disadvantage for me was quite cold dormitory room, but if you are staying in warmer months or uf you have good sleeping bag, it’s no problem.

Wise Pilgrim says opens at 3pm but opens at 4pm… either way nice stay, friendly volunteers. 14 beds but they said it never fills. Good option beyond Cee!

I didn’t stay here but checked it out as I walked by. It looks run down on the outside but really nice on the inside. The volunteer told me there are 14 beds and only 4 people stayed last night. Worth it to stay next time imo.
