Paesino pigro, ma ben curato. È un buon posto per fare colazione se siete partiti da Nájera in mattinata. L’albergue municipal qui è ben arredato e tutte le camere sono doppie.

Il cammino

Il cammino tra Azofra a Cirueña è stato recentemente modificato e ora passa attorno a un campo da golf poco frequentato. Con tale modifica il paesino di Cirueña ne è rimasto del tutto escluso.

Se vai su booking.com potrebbe dire che non ci sono camere ad Azofra ma se vai sul loro sito trovi quello che cerchi. È meglio scrivere su WhatsApp. Posto fantastico!

Ho condiviso una camera con un nuovo pellegrino di nome Bud nella plaza ed è stato davvero molto bello. La doccia è nuovissima. Mi sembra. I letti erano comodi. Avevo una grande finestra che guardava la cattedrale.

Abbiamo mangiato tre pasti diversi al bar Seville e tutti erano buoni. Il proprietario e suo figlio sono super amichevoli e pazienti con noi nonostante le nostre limitazioni linguistiche in spagnolo

Ho amato questo posto. Era pulito. Avevano un bel divano al piano inferiore e un piccolo frigorifero. Era proprio vicino al Camino. Codice per aprire la porta.

Ho soggiornato a La Plaza, che non ha cucina. Ha però un bollitore in un armadio al piano terra. Il Bar Seville non apre fino ad aprile. C'è un piccolo negozio di alimentari che vende pasti istantanei e un paio di frutta e verdura fresca, oltre a prosciutto confezionato, formaggio e yogurt tra molti altri articoli di generi alimentari non deperibili.

Very pleasant town. Stayed at Pension La Plaza, a newly renovated place just up from the town square. Very nice room and balcony with private bath. Check in is at the bar in the square. Also a great pilgrims meal if so desired or may order paella. It was pleasant sitting out with the locals and on the deck. Great place to unwind after a day of walking

Booked last available a few days ahead which is the dreaded 3 bed room = expensive. However, really awesome and smooth check in electronically that this pilgrim appreciated. Keyless entries are the best, I think. EXTREMELY clean with massive terrace and fantastic view. Fabulous shower and overall best 3 bed room so far, and there’s been more than a few. Oh, I appreciate the communication from the owner/operator via WhatsApp too.

One of the best albergues municipal I have stayed in. They have double rooms, washing laundry for 3 euros and a pool for your feet. The showers were unfortunately so hot that I couldn’t wash my hair. But great place!

I had to take the bus from logrono in order to get past the two previous cities which are sold out due to a three day weekend and a large festival. The bus was easy and cheap… only three euros and came within 1 mile of the Alberge Municipal. Not sure why the previous poster said there is no bus service, because it was an easy commute.

Municipal albergue was very nice with foot pool and all double rooms. Grocery store was very dingey, would not buy produce or refrigerated items.
