Welcoming staff/owner. Comfortable dining area and back patio. Facilities and rooms were clean. The only drawback for me were the metal bunk beds that creaked with any movement.

Fun, slightly quirky hospitalaro. Decent kitchen. Area outside for washing clothes. Can’t check in until 4, which is quite late. Beds are in cubicles inside one larger room. The light is on a motion sensor so turns on anytime someone goes to the bathroom which isn’t ideal.

This is a great place to stay in St. Jean Pied de Port. The hospitalero is friendly. The breakfast was unique among the albergues we stayed at: for a small price, they provided eggs, coffee, bread, fruit, everything you’d want for a good breakfast, along with a stove and utensils for cooking. With a short day’s hike to Orisson, we took our time and enjoyed breakfast very much. It also gave us time to meet other peregrinos just starting out.

There is not communal dinner, but there is a common area where pilgrims hang out, so it’s easy to meet others.

The beds and bathrooms are fine. We had a great stay at this albergue, a welcoming introduction to the Camino.

Eric, of course, is fantastic! His spiel preparing you for the way is worth the price. Before I started my Camino, this albergue is exactly what I imagined - except that there are plenty of toilets and more showers! There’s even a separate (do it yourself) area to do your laundry. 5 stars of humble simplicity.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

An amazing personality , kind and bighearted! Good breakfast and clean showers ! I slept well ..only queaking floors..be soft and considerate if you must use the toilet in the middle of the night 🙏

Camino de Sant…

Very fresh and clean. Good showers! The hospitalero was very nice. Homemade croissants in the morning. 17 € / 22 € with breakfast

Camino de Sant…

Friendly staff and very clean. Close to the start of the Camino Frances.

Camino de Sant…

The man who explained the way to me was absolutely lovely, rooms are clean and basic. So cold at night. I wore a hat and scarf and was still cold.
