Les champs qui entourent Boadilla sont parsemés de palomares (pigeonniers) en adobe. Trouve ton chemin vers l'un d'entre eux et explore l'intérieur, qui recèle des milliers de niches.

Aux abords de la place de la ville se trouve la Iglesia de la Asunción de style roman et un Rollo de Justicia bien conservé, une colonne de pierre du XVe siècle à laquelle les criminels étaient enchaînés pendant que leurs châtiments étaient infligés.

La meilleure albergue de la ville (également sur la place) mérite une visite même si tu n'as pas l'intention d'y séjourner. Derrière les murs sans prétention se trouve une oasis de jardin complète avec une piscine et de l'art.

The Road

Le camino qui part de Boadilla rejoint bientôt un chemin qui longe le Canal de Castille. Tu suivras le canal jusqu'aux abords de Frómista, où tu traverseras à l'une des écluses. Ce canal était utilisé à la fois pour le transport et l'irrigation.

Nå men hyggeligt ophold. Lige åbnet 16/4. Så første dag for dem for sæsonen. Meget familiært og familien, som er fra Holland, spiser selv med til middagen.
Fin sovesal, rent og pænt.

Just stopped here for a break. No food in evidence, but excellent coffee. The hotel is spotless, and the guy behind the bar quick and friendly. The hotel looks like a good place to stay if you fancy a bit more comfort.

We'd planned to go on to Formista and stopped here for refreshments. We're so happy we stayed! Lovely, helpful, kind people. We've had some surly servers... I think they're getting overwhelmed with the shear numbers of people traveling the Camino this month/year.
We're loving the vibe here. Very comfortable beds, 22 in this room, upstairs in the hotel. We discovered there are more hostel beds in a separate building.
Our space is new and clean. The Pilgrim dinner €14 and very good! 😌 2 very happy people!

On entering the albergue, I was very impressed. It has a beautiful garden and the accommodation is charming and rustic. Less impressive was the fact that only one of the 4 handbasins was working, the holders for the handshowers were both broken and the tubs for handwashing contained many months of leaves and without a water supply, forcing guests to handwash in the only handbasin that worked. Sheets and pillowcases were not supplied, unlike most of the other albergues I've stayed in. There is no kitchen or kettle, so you need to eat in the adjacent hotel, that operates the albergue. There are no shops in the town and the other albergue is closed on Monday and Friday. This could have been a memorable stay, but unfortunately, I will remember it for the wrong reasons.

Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The food is served in 2 rooms, it is cheap plenty and fast, with good vine.
Small rooms with 3 bunk beds.
The garden is a small paradise. Stay here instead of going on to Frómista.

This is one of the cleanest Albergue I ever stay at, and I’m glad I didn’t to further down to Frómista. The bedroom is spotless clean not a single hair drop on the floor. The host guy are so nice as well.
