Un nouvel albergue en ville, situé au sous-sol du centre communautaire. Distributeur de billets et mini marché sur la première place où tu arrives. Bar sympathique.

Notice

Ce chemin de gravier fait partie d'une ancienne voie romaine, et les flèches ont disparu. Continue tout droit. Lorsqu'il arrive à une route goudronnée, tourne à gauche. Mais ne reste pas sur cette route jusqu'à la N347. La flèche a disparu, mais quand tu arrives à un virage de la route, le chemin à droite est celui que tu veux. Cette courbe de la route pavée se trouve à 300 m de la N347 visible, donc si tu arrives jusqu'à la route principale, tu peux soit revenir sur tes pas, soit marcher sur la N347 jusqu'à la ville.

La flèche a disparu.

La tour qui donne son nom à la ville (de l'arabe Al Burj) n'est plus.

The Road

Face au côté crucifix de l'église, tourne à droite vers la route principale (nouvellement pavée) et tourne à droite sur cette route. Tu devrais maintenant avoir un grand bâtiment moderne sur ta gauche (le centre communautaire et l'albergue), et tu vas descendre. Continue jusqu'à la première route et tourne là à gauche, en descendant.

Le camino t'amènera à la N347, que tu suivras à gauche sur une très courte distance.

Il tourne ensuite à droite sur un chemin de gravier.

L'auberge avait l'air magnifique mais il y avait un panneau qui disait fermé. Nous pensions que c'était Casa da Lima mais c'était un autre 6 km. Il était tard et nous étions tellement fatigués que nous ne pouvions pas faire un pas de plus. Mais nous devions dormir quelque part. Ay Lin de Casa da Lima était inquiète et elle nous a récupérés en voiture. Nous étions si heureux qu'elle ait insisté

The owner is passionate about making each pilgrim feel pampered! It is much more than a beautiful and clean place; the bunks are private and roomy, the pilgrim meal of a restaurant standard; nothing is too much!

Our host was so very wonderful. We arrived as the restaurant was filled with locals for a 60th birthday party. He was bartending it all by himself and also helping pilgrims check in. He was so sweet and helped us mop up the water on the floor.
We enjoyed a wonderful communal dinner with the other pilgrims and he even gave us a discount for helping him clean up. He gave my friend a free ice cream and was so kind and gracious. He was running the albergue mostly alone and did a wonderful job.
The dormitories are absolutely gorgeous and so clean. Each bed has a beautiful curtain and a PowerPoint and light. There are cozy blankets under the beds and it is so quiet and comfortable.
The overall experience was amazing. I highly recommend staying here.

It was a welcomed sight after the hot ups and downs of today. Clean and spacious, will supply sheets and blankets but are extra. Great facilities and meal options! You can dry your clothes at the back. The beds are spacious and comfortable, no head bumping in these bunks!

There is a short cut than rather following the dog leg on the map. Go straigh past the church.

The town is very small. There is a private albergue at the entrance of the village and another one at the church. There is a small supermarket where you can find the basics but it’s a bit more expensive than usual.

Just 1 km off-track from Alvorge is Casa Vale Do Florido, outstanding hospitality, convenient Cafe w/ dinner and breakfast. Beautiful location. Might need your GOS to get here but it is wonderful!
