El Ayuntamiento de Vila Boa ha instalado un conjunto de señales amarillas muy visibles que te guían por la ciudad.

The Road

I’m staying here tonight and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations - clean and bright and comfortable. Our hostess stopped in the middle of what she was doing to provide a warm and cheerful welcome and got me settled right in. The pasta dinner was simple but very good — generous portions and a goodly pour of wine to go with it. It’s quiet tonight in terms of guests, so i have a six-bed room all to myself. After many nights in municipal alberques, I feel like I’m in a five star hotel!!

My wife and I stayed here, and it was clean, but not immaculate. Only one bathroom for all the guests to share was a bit of a challenge. The proprietor was kind but not overly friendly. No soap in bathroom is a big miss. Dinner was ok, basic pasta with bolognese and a salad. There were no other peregrinos staying here and the other guests weren’t interested in connecting over dinner, so that impacted the experience for us. To do it again, I would have stayed in Barcelos or pushed on. But it will make for a shorter day for us tomorrow so I suppose that’s a gift.

Flora was very kind to my mother who had a bad leg. She gave her some ice and some muscle cream.

Otherwise clean place, with 4 beds per room, with towels sheets and a blanket if you ask. Supermarket down the corner.

Very austere rooms, although clean.
No soap in the bathroom even for hand washing, although on arrival you are given a tiny sachet of liquid soap, which I used to wash my hair.
Great evening meal for €8, with a drink included.

Lovely hostel to stay in - great location on the Camino, (well signposted as you come into Vila Boa) spotless, comfortable bunk beds with sheets and pillows - delicious meal with other pilgrims - and our host, Flora - heart of gold - and used google translate very effectively to navigate the communication. Excellent hostel and great value for money!
