Excelente lugar para alojarse y descansar durante la subida de los Pirineos. La cena comunitaria y el desayuno también son excelentes, sin olvidar el magnífico amanecer.

No es el mejor albergue en el que jamás me alojaré, pero fue un alivio bienvenido después de los 8 km de subida desde SJPDP. No habría forma de poder hacer todo el camino hasta Roncesvalles en un día. Las duchas no eran excelentes y solo tienes unos minutos, pero estaba bien. Las camas están bien, nada especial. Hay una cena comunal que fue agradable. Reserva con anticipación ya que se agota meses antes.

Tuvimos una estancia encantadora en Orisson el 13 de abril. La cena comunitaria de peregrinos fue realmente agradable, y fue excelente conocer y charlar con otros peregrinos. Un lugar especial para comenzar el viaje.

Los lunes durante el verano no abren el refugio para alojamiento. Puedes parar para comer y beber pero no puedes quedarte.

¡Qué vistas tan bonitas desde la terraza! Paramos aquí para comer, hay un menú muy variado disponible- Comimos el plato del montañero, estuvo bien excepto las salchichas😟
El personal fue encantador. Hay una bonita fuente del Camino para rellenar tu agua
El baño no tenía papel higiénico. No sé si esto es común en el Camino, pero ya estás avisado- ¡lleva tus pañuelos!

Please don’t make the mistake I did and assume there would be another lunch stop along the way! This might be your only chance for food until Roncesvalles and you will need all the strength and calories you can get for today’s hike!

Our 3rd time at Orrison. Great way to meet pilgrims on day one. Wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive- especially when I upset my glass of beer all over our table. Our guy came, cleaned up my mess and refilled my glass for no charge. Dinner is filling and delicious. Will always recommend a stay here. Buen Camino 🇪🇸🥾🎒😎

We split the first stage into two by staying at Refuge Orisson. Great decision, since doing the first stage in one go is a really challenging way to start the Camino. We saw folks who had and they were very dispirited and practically ready to quit. Dorms are typical, with lots of bathrooms and showers for the group. Pilgrim’s supper was great and included everyone staying, since getting supper and breakfast with your stay is compulsory. Lots of food for everyone. We had a great time and everyone spoke about who they were and where they were from, and why they were walking the Camino. We really met our main Camino family that first night. Breakfast was good and we also got a packed lunch for the next day since there are virtually no services between there and Roncesvalles. Overall we enjoyed our first stay in an Albergue. Of course we didn’t sleep well, but that’s all part of the experience. I’d highly recommend staying here for your first night.

This was the most amazing natural landscape that i’ve seen on the camino but i would stop for a coffee and not stay. staff was efficient but STRESSED. no soap at sink and only 3 outlets for 50 ppl (and they’re down in the bar). i was in a huge room and it had rained and there was one dryer that was sort of working for 50 ppl to share. oh well, it made the subsequent albergues seem great!! despite all that, the sunrise leaving orisson in the morning was out of this world
