The Road

I can recommend it. The room was really tiny but who cares. After whole day of heavy rain, lady turned the heater on for me so I could dry all of my clothes overnight. Hot shower and everything was clean. Registration in the bar Estrella.

Sehr angenehm.

Booked at Casa Mariana via booking.com. 45 eur for 2 persons. In the Center of the town right by 2 bars. Perfect if you need a night without all the snoring 😂

Forget Casa Cesar or BE VERY VIGILANT in the room that the reception assigns you. Here’s my mishap... I spotted a room on Booking for 35 euros and I negotiated to have it for 30 euros without going through the platform. But here it is: I was taken to a room that was not the one we had agreed on. Smaller in surface, with a narrower bed, without balcony, without private bathroom. Meanwhile, the 'real' room had disappeared from the Booking platform. But I had it in mind. I have the unpleasant feeling of being deceived. And this is amplified when, during the Camino, we want to offer a little comfort and privacy after a long series of albergue. Of course, I protested. And fortunately, because the first room assigned had two single beds instead of a double bed. However, I do not consider that the harm is repaired. No, the the pilgrim who does not master enough Spanish should not be treated like a pigeon! It is a matter of respect and principle that I tell you. To conclude, the wifi is not good in ''my'' room. You have been warned about this Casa Rural. Paul (France)

Camino de Sant…

Bar Estrella does food anytime you want, such a treat to eat early on a cold wet day! The shop in the village sells everything, including some gloves and hats and socks.

Camino de Sant…

Well, yes, Casa Irene is really quite nice - 30€ for one person with a double bed and breakfast (toast and tea, orange juice and cake) - EXCEPT - the walls are thin and I heard the couple in the next room snoring all night long - thr while point of staying in these sort of places over an Albergue is to get away from snoring - It's a nice place though. - H.J.Appleby

Camino de Sant…

This is a beautiful place to stop. Lovely terrace, great breakfasts and home cooked food. Our best stop yet! Gracias Jose y Begonia!

Camino de Sant…

The camino is very poorly signed from the church La Tuiza and all the way to Portela a Canda. Turn left at Tuiza and follow the water upstream. Always choose the option upwards and with water. You will have two to three hours walking to Portela a Canda with almost no signage.

Camino de Sant…

I suggest you afd Casa Irene here. Casa Rural, neighbour to the albergue. Mountain views, extremely clean and homecooked meal. Top place on this camino.
