The Road

The Duesos albergue is excellent. The full comment on 27th May covers it. In addition I could add that the the señora also does a communal load of washing if you arrive before 5.30pm of the clothes you’ve been walking in

There also donativo beers because there isn’t a bar in town (as far as we could tell).
Lovely wooden beds, so no creaking! Cloth sheet and pillow case. Just lovely.

You can give them a ring to reserve. Use Google translate if your Spanish is t up to it, they don’t speak much English.

A welcome smile and clear instructions at this Albergue - so welcome after the strange places I have stayed over the last x 2:5 weeks! Peaceful, cool and clean, wonderful. I am looking forward to the evening meal. €20 is the suggested donation #worthitsofar

Beautiful nice and spacious albergue. 12 beds. Very nice garden. Lovely host. She walked the Camino herself some years ago, as reminded by a large picture on the wall. She's very thoughtful, putting on the heater downstairs so we wouldn't get cold at night upstairs, even though it's already the end of may. Lovely vegetarian (actually vegan) pilgrim dinner for everyone: lentil stew with rice, salad and bread and yoghurt for dessert. Usual breakfast with toast, jam and biscuits. The albergue is a bit off the camino (1,5km maybe) but worth the walk and well indicated by a sign and arrows. Donativo, with suggestion to donate 20 euro to cover expenses. Telephone number Marisol: +34 611 68 81 63. She speaks mainly Spanish but understands some English.

Duesos is a bit off the route but the new Albergue is worth the detour. Clean, modern and staffed by a caring couple. Washing your daily clothes is offered. The evening dinner was the best.
