Die Ruinen einer prähistorischen Siedlung, der Castro de Chao Samartín, sind westlich (rechts) von Castro zu sehen, wenn man die Stadt verlässt. Es gibt ein Museum (neben dem Camino), das Führungen durch die bronzezeitliche Siedlung anbietet.

The hostel has been reopened and is run by two lovely siblings under similar circumstances as before. We stayed there for a few hours for a break when the heavy rain started and they couldn't have been more helpful. See contact details in the comment section for the Albergue.
