In die Stadt hinein und wieder heraus zu gelangen ist unkompliziert. Es gibt eine ausgeschilderte Alternativroute, die Sie näher am Fluss durch die Stadt führt.

Als Stadt hat Redondela Charme. Sie liegt etwas landeinwärts der Bucht von Vigo (Ría de Vigo) und ist durch zwei massive Eisenbahnbrücken zweigeteilt, welche von starkem Gütervekehr zeugen.

Wegbeschreibung

Beim Verlassen der Stadt überquert der Camino die N550 an einem Engpass im Norden der Stadt, der rund um die Uhr von Verkehr geprägt ist. Sobald Sie an der N550 angelangt sind, überqueren Sie diese und biegen fast sofort links auf eine Nebenstraße ein.

Die Pfeile von hier lassen etwas zu wünschen übrig. Sie sind zwar vorhanden, wurden jedoch mit einem nicht ganz richtigen Gelb gesprüht, und manchmal fühlen sie sich nicht echt an. Folgen Sie ihnen trotzdem; in der Nähe von Cesantes gibt es dann wieder Camino-Meilensteine.

Ein wundervoller Ort, wenn Sie ein günstiges Hostel brauchen. Augusto ist der Eigentümer. Großes Familienzimmer. Schöne Küche. Im Zentrum der Stadt. Ich kann nicht glauben, wie viel Glück ich hatte, es zu finden

We had a lovely meal here. We were surprised to be the only pilgrims there for two hours, full of locals out for dinner. Great vegetarian options and vegan ones too.

If you have time, take a walk along the beautiful path along the estuary. It’s on your left as you pass through the northern end of town. It’s mostly boardwalk for about 1.2km and takes in cute houses and fishing boats along the estuary. We saw nesting nesting swans. It’s really quite lovely and worth seeing. Gives you a whole other perspective of Redondela.

Staying here was like heaven! A little apartment with a double bed, couch, own bathroom, kitchen and Netflix felt like a little escape that rejuvenated the spirit!
